Welcome to Unite for Sight. Unite for Sight
is a non-profit organization dedicated to "improving eye health and eliminating preventable blindness" in communities that do not have access
to medical care.
As a Duke Unite for Sight volunteer, you will be involved in the following activities:
1. Screen students in local elementary schools
2. Refer patients to health insurance and vision care programs, and follow them through the process
3. Work in concert with Duke Medical students to hold health fairs in local churchs and malls
4. Screen adults at shelters in the Durham community
In addition to local volunteer opportunities, there are also international volunteer opportunities available at Ghana or India all year round.
